Welcome to Herd Nerds!
We're so thrilled you've joined us!
This site is written by amateur horsewomen, for amateur horsewomen. We believe that even though we may all have different levels and disciplines of riding, we're all united under one thing; our love of horses. The goal of this site is to provide fun, educational advice for horse people around the world. The advice with range from natural horsemanship and training techniques in the ring, to care products and first aid. This is the Tack Room, where you can instantly catch up on everything that is happening on the site. Want to submit something, like a question, idea, or a photo for Photo of the Week? Email it to [email protected], and be sure to join the conversation in the lounge! Enjoy! Updates in the RoundPen:
Monday, July 1, 2013 Babe, the Mustang Racehorse "A young man came to me for advice/suggestions on how to get his new mustang mare to go forward without going 0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds. This is what I told him. . ." Thursday, May 16, 2013 Getting to Know Your Horse "From what I've seen and heard, a horse and rider/trainer pair cannot reach their full potential until their heartstrings are joined in some way and until they come to a conscious understnading of their relationship to each other. And the most important point is that both horse and human are satisfied with where they are in that relationship. People who have friendships with their horses go farther. It's been proven time and again. . ." Please note that HerdNerds is not responsible for any damage or harm that results as following our advice. We are not professionals, and only seek to provide fun, helpful and free education.
