Hello there! Today I thought I would take the time to introduce myself and my  horse, as well as some of the people and horses that may be guest-starring in my video.

I'll start with myself (not trying to be vain here, just need somewhere to start). My name is Erin Long. I am a 16 year old sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, where I am majoring in neuroscience. I'm the co-captain of the equestrian team, and I'm in the marching band. I have been riding horses for ten years, my horse Sid for 4 of those years.
Now on to my horse. Obsidian (or Sid as I affectionately call him) is an eleven year old Oldenburg gelding by Royal Diamond. While he was bred for dressage, he excels in the jumpers, and we are currently showing in the Intermediate Child/Adult Jumpers (2'6").
My sister, Lydia, and her pony Bluebelle (Blue Satin Sashes) will also be showing up in several videos. Lydia is 14 years old and in the eighth grade. Bluebelle is a 12 year old Welsh Pony mare by Blue Rain. Lydia has been riding for 10 years and Bluebelle has been with our family for seven of those years, as my pony first, then as Lydia's.
I believe that's everyone! Hope to see you back here in a few days for tips on setting a "circus ring" grid.
